Finished practice animation of Drakir. I'm not entirely happy with it, because it's kind of rushed. It started as a random sketch, but next week we're going to Oslo to check out various education directions. With that, I'll bring a portfolio, hoping to get a place in Volda with animation. Looking forward to it!

I'm not sure, since I didn't work on it in one bite. But a total of 10-11 hours, maybe? The Crappies animation with baseball took me a week.

That's actually quite good. What did you use? I've tried animation in flash, but that was three years ago... And I've tried animation in Photoshop 5...

It's done in flash. Drawing in flash isn't exactly comfortable, but it's nice for the animation and frame set-up. If you wish to practice on basic animation with basic tools, I recommend a program called "Plastic animation paper 4" - a Danish program that is comfortable to sketch in. Hotkeys are important here, but they have a great tutorial page. A very useful book on animation is Richard Williams' "The animator's survival kit". They should have the book at the library on Høgtun.
